Best time to go: A Weekend (Saturday + Sunday) in March, April, May, June, July, August, September or October

12:00 PM : Arrive
12:00 PM - 1:00 PM: Lunch at Itto Ramen & Japanese Tapas in Downtown Asheville. Menu includes Ramen bowls; Meat, Vegetarian, Vegan, Gluten-Free options available. You gotta try the garlic butter edamame!

3:00 PM: Check in at Wrong Way Campground: Urban River Lodge & Cabins: Beautiful new a-frame cabins built in 2022 near the French Broad River and just minutes from Downtown Asheville. Cabins sleep up to 4 people (1 queen bed + one pull out couch).

Fun fact: It’s called Wrong Way because the French Broad River (thought to be one of the oldest rivers in the world) flows south to north whereas most rivers flow north to south.
3:30 - 6:00 PM: Go for a walk – or bring a bike and ride – exploring Carrier Park and/or French Broad River Park. The River Arts District is also walkable from Wrong Way but easier to drive to.
Bring your own yoga mat because there are plenty of places to do yoga and meditate in the park! I recommend the walking meditation and choose from 75+ other FREE yoga videos here.

6:00 - 7:00 PM: Dinner at Posana in Downtown Asheville; their seasonal menu features locally sourced ingredients creating a menu that changes frequently; lots of gluten-free options.
Evening: Free Time to explore downtown then snuggle into your cabin for rest and reflection. Use a guided Yoga Nidra relaxation to reduce stress deeply calm both your body and mind. I recommend the video below or choose from a variety of other guided relaxations. FREE Yoga Nidra videos here.
6:30 - 8:00 AM: Pack up, check out and enjoy an early breakfast at All Day Darling (opens at 7 AM) in the historic Montford neighborhood on your way to your yoga hike. Menu includes Meat, Vegetarian, Vegan & Gluten-Free options plus coffee, tea and other uniquely blended beverages.
9:00 AM - 12:00 PM: Mindful Waterfall Yoga + Hiking + Meditation Micro-Retreat™ with Namaste in Nature • Private bookings also available • Note: The trailhead where this activity happens is located about 45 minutes east of Downtown Asheville.
Map & directions in confirmation email provided upon booking. This is currently the closest waterfall to Asheville. *9:30 AM - 12:30 PM in the winter months.
12:00 - 1:00 PM: Here are a couple local restaurants close to the waterfall that I recommend for Lunch:
Reese’s Delectables and Nourishments: Fresh & healthy juices, smoothies, salads, sandwiches,
Nopale’s Fresh Mex Express: Fast, fresh build-your-own Mexican bowls, tacos, burritos, etc.
Afternoon: Depart & drive home
